How to get healthier?

It’s often difficult to change habits, but it’s always a good idea to start at some point. Before you decide to want to try to change your lifestyle to a healthier one, you have to consider if it’s one or several habits you are going to change. The more habits you are trying to change the more difficult it is for you to adjust to which simple means that you chance of success decreases.

For most people it’s difficult to change many habits at once, so you should consider only try to change a few at once, which should increase your chances of success.

Here are some examples of which habits you could start with:

  • Less sugar – Replace sugar- and soft drinks with healthy fruit juice or water. This can make a huge difference for you.
  • Eat healthier – Make a plan for what you are going to eat every day during the week. Make sure that most of the food are healthy and probably home cooked.
  • Be active – This really depends on how active you are used to be. But a good start would be to start working out at least 2 times a week.

When you have done this for about 4 weeks in row, your body and mind should be used to your new habits, then you can go further with the step of being healthier. You could add the following to your habits:

  • Less sugar – Don’t eat candy more than one day a week or less than that.
  • Eat healthier – Eat home cooked food with lot of vegetables at least 5-6 times a week. Make sure to eat fish at least one time a week.
  • Be active – Workout 3-4 times a week and consider walking more during the day.

Like with the first step if you do this 4 week in a row you should be able to go to next step. I’m sure you get the idea of how you can work with changing your habits. The step I have mentioned are just examples, it can be more or less demanding which depends on how you are as a person. Just make sure that you make them possible to realize, but not too easy. Always think what you going to do or change to realize your goal.

Remember

Getting healthy is important for you to avoid diseases and be on top of your game at your work, studies or at the home font.
